It's done! We're joining hands with the designer who decorated most Polish homes during the communist era, and we're adding a new chapter to the legend of "Kowalski furniture." Thank you, Bogusława!
At the ForForm Gallery (ul. Paderewskiego 8), you can admire Bogusława and Czesław Kowalski's famous wall unit. It's an original "period" piece. The shelves are filled with relevant reading material, stylish decorations, and information about this piece of furniture, which has become a fixture in most Polish homes for years. We know of homes where it still functions successfully today!
During Thursday's opening, Elżbieta Czyżewska and Daniel Olbrychski played "Kowalski" in Stanisław Bareja's "Marriage of Convenience," written by Agnieszka Osiecka. Jacek Kowalski (son of the famous designer couple, an art historian specializing in the Middle Ages, and a bard in love with Sarmatia) told anecdotal stories about his parents' project.
